Chaekuk Na, Ph.D.

Chaekuk Na is a Research Associate at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He received his B.S. and M.S. in 2003 and 2005, respectively, followed by Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2009 in Korea. His topic was the finite element analysis for the bond-slip behavior between rebar and concrete. After he finished his Ph.D., he moved to Columbia University in New York as a visiting scholar to collaborate with Dr. Myer for the material characteristics of the nature fiber reinforce concrete funded by U-Eco City Research Center in Korea. He is currently working with Dr. Nassif in RIME group in the research area of Structural Health Monitoring and Field Testing of bridges and Advanced Concrete Materials. He also participates in the RECAST University Transportation Center led by Missouri University in the area of self-consolidating concrete material for bridge structures.

Changhee Park is a Post-doctoral Associate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering from Seoul National University in Korea. His thesis topic was to develop steel buckling design criteria for High-Strength Steel(HSA800) Members, the yield strength of which is over 800MPa. While at Seoul National University, he participated in various research, collaborating with private and public sector such as POSCO, NSF, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, etc. His research focused on new specifications for steel and composite structures, finite element method, and development of software for computer aided structural analysis & design.
After he finished his Ph.D. in 2014, he moved to a Computer Aided Engineering(CAE) software company, MIDAS-IT in South Korea. He had worked as one of the principal project managers for releasing programs in South Korea, Singapore, and Poland market, and then changed his position as a software developer for developing programs such as MIDAS Gen and Design+. He is currently working with Dr. Nassif in RIME Group since January 2018.
