2012 Korean Program

International Student Engineering Experience (ISEE)

Seventeen Undergraduate students from Kyunghee University in Korea joined the summer exchange program in 2012 summer.

Students developed the finite element model and performed the stress analysis by SAP2000 to determine the optimized configurations of bridges.

Students identified the most loaded members and revised the design to reduce compressive loads that may cause buckling. They constructed the bridges based on their design configuration. Bridges were tested to failure by applying loads on top of the bridge.
